Preventive care is about preventing illnesses, injuries or medical conditions before they happen. Preventive care covers a wide range of activities from the simplest habit of thoroughly washing your hands to sophisticated medical procedures that look for health threats such as breast and colon cancer.

Note: The routine preventive care recommendations are for people at average risk for any given condition or disease. If your risk is higher than average because of family history or your own medical history, some of these guidelines may not apply to you, and you need to speak with your medical care provider. Individual circumstances may require other test(s) or testing frequency.
Immunization Recommendations
We recommend certain screening tests and immunizations to keep you healthy. Immunizations can prevent serious illnesses in children, as well as prevent the spread of disease. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends specific immunizations to be completed by 18 months of age, plus additional vaccinations to be given by age 13. These recommendations are developed to assist our physicians and our members, but are not intended to replace your doctor's judgment. We encourage you to review them with your physician.
